Volunteering
Starting this season, the Board announced the initiation of the Volunteer Fee. This $100 will be refunded to the swim family at the end of the season with completion of 20 volunteer hours or transferred to your escrow account upon completion of 20 volunteer hours.HOW THE VOLUNTEER PROGRAM FEE WORKS
For ease of tracking, we have assigned points to each volunteer activity. Using an electronic signup service. Family members can log on to the site and choose the desired activity. There will be a volunteer coordinator at each session of each meet. Volunteer should sign in with the Volunteer Activity Coordinator prior to the start of the meet to confirm attendance.
DC Wave will participate in the listed meets this season. The meets are the most available way to earn points. Other ways to earn your 20 points are Event Planning and Fundraising activities. There may also be select opportunities to volunteer as designated by the Booster Club Board of Directors. These will be announced as needed throughout the season.
Along with your account invoice, you will receive updates of points earned to date. When you accumulate 20 points, your invoice will reflect the transfer of the $100 Volunteer Fee into your escrow account. But don't stop accumulating points. Families accumulating points over the 20 points required will be positioned for a yearend incentive. And besides, the children need your efforts to the end to make this season a success.
